Our first foray into to travel nursing landed us on the island of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. Three months of sun, surf, sand and learning how to drive on the left hand side of the road. St. Thomas is located just east of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean. It's closest neighbor is St. John also part of the USVI. St. Thomas is the largest and busiest of the two but it's population significantly increases when the cruise ships are in. The island is dotted with bays most of which have small beautiful beaches where you can spend a day. The island of St. John, just a 20 min ferry ride, is 80% national park and contains many hiking trails that all end in beautiful beaches. Catherine is working hard at the hospital and learning how things are done down here, in a word, differently. Andrew has gotten a job with St. Thomas Dive Club as a divemaster. AWESOME!
